The New York Asian Film Festival, year after year, brings the wonderful world of Asian cinema to the city.  Over time, it’s become a must-go because of its Japan Cuts series (co-sponsored with Japan Society) which gives access to a bevy of Japanese cinema that would otherwise go waste in the land of non-distribution.  Here, then, are some of the commentaries on films that have shown over the years at NYAFF:
